When I was seven I found myself reading a bunch of books. My parents always made me feel smart by having a book. My reading was not for pleasure it was really to get approval from my parents. -
White stories ;)
In elementary school we had reading logs, they were all due on a certain date to recieve a prize. I would gather a bunch of books up and log them down. I may have read one or two of them. I didn't like reading because I was so pressured in school to do so. -
High School
In high school I never picked up a book for leisure. I hadto read boring plays and novels in order to pass my classes. I started to associate reading with punishment or hard work. -
Freshman year of college
I had no idea how people were reading other novels outside of school. I found myself having a hard time keeping up with readings in class. -
Getting better
I read a whole novel for leisure for the first time in a long time. Here is where I started to like reading again. I try to find time outside of school to enjoy literature now.
