College Reading Courses
Nervous of starting college but knowing that I would be taking new courses on Teaching Of Reading. -
First Teaching Job
I was so excited to start teaching reading/writing! I used the Highscope curriculum and felt so good when one of my first students turned their letters into words. He was so excited! -
New Job
I moved from Early Childhood/Elementary Education into Higher Education during this time. It was a good feeling to help other students get into college courses and show them the class book they would be using to help teach our future scholars. It felt great because I could give stories that I had gone through while teaching children for 7 years. -
Going Back to Education
After realizing that I was not meant to be in Higher Education, I went back to teaching. I moved to Maryland to teach Second Grade and was so excited to get back into a Literacy routine with my new class. -
Reading Groups
Loving going to school every day to teach my favorite subject! Reading/Writing to students. I feel so good when students get the most they can out of a reading group or writing activity! -
Today
When reading with a below grade level student and seeing the smile on his face when he read a full sentence! What a great feeling on his part and it's awesome to see this so early on in the school year!
