When I was little I loved reading. I forced my mom to read Junie B. Jones to me every night and I'm pretty sure I sometimes read the books myself. I had a ton of the Junie B. Jones books.

When I was little, probably close to five, I wrote a very short, poorly written story about three wolves named Sam, Sammy, and Samuel. If I recall right, Sam was the protagonist, Sammy was really dumb, and Samuel was evil. I don't remember the plot, but I'm sure it wasn't too great. I remember making at least a part 1, I may have made a part 2 and 3 but I'm not certain.
I also remember making a comic about it. -
For years I've loved Erin Hunter (a group of 3 or 4 women under the same pen name) and they are my favorite authors. What introduced me to them when I was young was a book series called Warriors, a series about cats. When was really little I would look at fan-made stuff on YouTube and after a while I finally read the books. I still have over twenty of them though I've mostly lost interest in the series.
These books actually helped me develop myself as a person and my skills. -
In 5th grade my teacher read The Giver to our class.
This book was important for me because it's how I discovered what kind of books I like.
I love books that are about a different, usually dystopian, society.
The Giver is still one of my all time favorite books. -
I think it was 6th grade my class started reading Peter Pan. We never finished it, which I was not happy about.
I actually enjoyed the book, unlike everyone else in my class. -
When I was about 11 I made a wolf character named Snow and gave him a full on backstory and such. I occasionally tried to write about him.
He was not my first character but probably my first important one to growing as a writer. I still have him and am re-working his story.
He's probably one of my favorite characters I've created. -
Around 6th grade my mom gave me Twilight to read, because she likes the books and wanted me to read them too. We would sometimes talk about the book though I don't remember much of what we said. As ridiculous as sparkly vampires are I actually enjoyed the books.

In 7th grade we read A Long Walk to Water. I honestly don't remember much from the book but I'm pretty sure I enjoyed reading it, though I absolutely hated the assignments on it. Also I think my book ended up in less than great shape at the end of the year, oops. I hope I remember that wrong...

We read this book in eighth grade, and I loved the book. It's probably one of my favorite books but I could say that about most books.
But we by far had the worst assignments to do on it, I hated them. -
In 8th grade my class was assigned to do some form of writing. I chose to try poetry. I wrote a total of eight poems that year and haven't written one since, though it was very fun and I enjoyed writing them and felt that I did pretty good.
