The following day after Betty discovered the thumb guard, the next ransom note was received and demanded $100,000.

The 11th and 12th ransom note were received the same day. The 11th earlier in the day demanding $50,000 again and the 12th giving the mysterious man the money in exchange for the 13th note.

The 13th note stated to go to the boat "Nellie" to find the kidnapped child near Marthas vineyard in Massachusetts. The search was unsuccessful.

The Lindbergh baby was soon found in a different location then named and dead. Four and a half miles southeast of the Lindbergh home, 45 feet from the highway, near Mount Rose, New Jersey, in Mercer County is where they found the baby with a shot to his head, missing body parts and badly buried. Was thought to be dead for almost 2 months and a bullet to the head caused his death.
