    The band had their first shows at the Coff-Inn, where Ray Danniels attended many shows, and he became their manager.

    This is the beginning of the band with the original line up of guitarist Alex Lifeson, bassist and front man Jeff Jones, and drummer John Rutsey. Formed in the neighborhood of Willowdale in Toronto, Ontario.

    The group releases their first single. A cover of Buddy Holly's "Not Fade Away" with a B-Side of their original song "You Can't Fight It".
