  • Birth

    James Collins was born 1951 in a suburb right outside of Detroit.
  • Joins ROTC

    Mr. Collins finds first involved himself in civic duty by joining the local ROTC program at Woodrow High School
  • Accepted to Air Force Academy

    Mr. Collins graduated from high school in the top 5% of his class and continued his education at the Air Force Academy
  • Graduation from Air Force Academy

    Mr. Collins graduated with honors from the Air Force Academy in 1973. He left with a double major in Politics and economy. Within a few days of graduation he left for Vietnam to aid the American forces.
  • Shot by Sniper

    Mr. Collins is shot in the foot by a sniper. Altough he resists, the medics send him back to the United States due to his injury. It left no permenant damage.
  • Attends Columbia Law School

    Returns to the civillian sector of life and finishes his formal education. He graduates with a law degree in 1979.
  • Moves to Virginia and Begins Work as Public Defender

    Deciding that the best place to start any sort of law or government carrear was in the D.C. area, Mr. Collins moved to Fairfax County, Virginia. He briefly considered going into a private firm, but decided his skills could be put to better use in the public sector, so he joined the Washington D.C. public defender office.
  • Marriage

    Marries Alyson Ulman, a co-worker whom Mr. Collins got to know through the Public Defender's office. Currently they have two children, Nicolas and Christy.
  • Moves Back to Michigan

    Due to the failling health of his mother, Mr. Collins moves back to Michigain. He is shocked to see the horrible state that detroit has fallen into, and vows to do what ever he can to help fix it.
  • Spot on Detroit City Council

    After winning a secure victory, he begins a program for crime reducation and education, achieving excellent results.
  • Mayorship of Detroit

    Mr. Collins runs a highly successful campaign and wins in a landslide election. He continues the crime and education programs but also tries an economic revival of the city, gaining national attention. He ends his term in 2008. Between 2008-2013 Mr. Collins studies and prepares his largest plan for economic revival of Detroit.
  • Governor of Michigan

    Mr. Collins campaigns for and wins the gubernatorial ellections. He then impliments his highly researched plans for economic revival of Detroit and Michigan, wielding incredible results. He brings back jobs to the area by creating incentives for cleen techn and managment jobs, both stimulating the economy and preserving the environment. Education and crime reduction programs continue with funding from a moderate tax on high polluting companies.
  • National Exploratory Comittee

    Mr. Collins realizes through the comittee that he has huge national backing. Launching his campaign soon after, he decides to take his ideas to the national level.
