The Corps Discovered many new types of animals and plants. The plants they found were different and had many uses.

Louis and Clark set out from St. Louis Missouri. They had gathered all the supplies needed. They had recieved all the training required.

The Corps of Discovery experiences a death. Seargent Charles Floyd died because his appendix burst. He was around 24.

Lewis and Clark encounter the Sioux indians. They demand a toll of tobacco. The Corp of Discovery drew their weapons but gave some tobacco and were allowed to continue.

The corps wiats for winter to pass at Fort Mandan. They built, traded with indians, and hunted during this time.

Sacagawea has her baby. This occurs in Fort Mandan. HIs name was Jean Babtiste Charbonneau.

During the span of a week Sacawgwea becomes ill. She had a fever, irregular breaths, and twitched. Lewis gave her opium and sulfer water and she got better.

Next, the expedition encounters the Grizzly bear. They had heard of bears this size but believed that they could not match a skilled rifleman. They soon changed their minds.

Here is a place where the Corps went through Idaho. They had to go through the Bitterroot Mountains.

Lewis and Clark met a lone indian on a horse. He runs away and a few days later they come upon a bigger group. Everything is peaceful and they talk about trade.

The Corps met with the Nez Perce indians now. The Nez Perce wanted guns. They traded peacefully.

The corps, after reaching the Pacific Ocean they built Fort Clatsop. This is where they stayed for the Winter.

During this time the corps stayed near the Nez Perce indians waiting for the snow to melt on the Bitterroot Mountains. The two groups interacted often and they traded.

During this time the Corps encountered the Blackfeet indians. They did not want the Corp to trade guns with the other tribes so the Blackfeet tried to steal them. The plan went wrong and two Native Americans died.

While in the plains they experienced very warm weather. They say it was uncomfortably warm and would be worse if not for the wind.
