    Leonardo da Vinci was born on April,15,1452. He was born in Vinci,Italy. His parents are Piero Fruosino di Antonio da Vinci and Caterina da Vinci. Leonardo da Vinci had twelve other siblings. The da Vinci family was made of eleven boys and four girls. When Leonardo was born he was gifted with his beautiful artistic abilities ( "Leonardo da Vinci" 1).

This hurricane was a significant event in Leonardo's life because he was so young when this happened and it was a such a disasterous Hurricane for Florence and the cities surrounding it ( McLanathan 6)

    On September, 9, 1471 the first book was translated into englished and printed. The person that did this job of translating and printing a book in English was Caxton Chaucer. The book that got printed and translated was The Recuyell of the Histories of Troy. This Project took three years to do. This was a signifacant event in history because it was the first book ever printed in the English language (Grun 209)

    In 1477 the Onin War ends in Japan. The Onin War was a war was a civil war in Japan, this war lasted for ten years. This war was a rivalry between Hosokawa Katsumoto, prime minister for the shogun Ashikaga Yoshimasa, and Yamana Mochitoyo, whose family were powerful landowners in the western Honshu region. Although the war ended in a stalemate in 1477, the Hosokawa did eventually win control of the government, but fighting in the provinces continued for another 100 years. ( Grun 210)

    In the year of 1483 Leonardo da Vinci finished his two versions of "Virgin of the Rocks". This is a painting of Mary, the mother of Christ with Baby Christ and John the Baptist and an angel. These two paintings were a very important paintings that Leonardo da Vinci made. They were impotant because they were the exact same painting except the second painting had a differnt color scheme and a little more techniqe with the shading of the rocks that made a 3D effect.     In 1493 Leonardo da Vinci made a full scale sculpture of the Sforza Horse. This is a sculpture in honor of Francisco Sforza. Francisco Sforza was the duke of Milan in the 1400's. This is still to this day a well known monument in Milan. This sculpture was made a little bit over 500 years ago and is still standing in Milan to this very day ( McLanathan 34-35)

This also known as the Church of Holy Mary of Grace. The scene of the Last Supper is one of the most important scenes in the Bible because this is Christ's last supper before he was nailed to the cross.This painting that Leonardo made is the most famous painting in Christian Art (McLanathan 36-38)

    Leonardo da Vinci made a portrait of Lisa Gherardini. Lisa was a woman apart of the Gherardini family from Florence and Tuscany, Italy. This painting is Leonardo da Vinci's most known art work that he has made. The painting Mona Lisa is held penemently in a meusem in France. The Mona Lisa is also a property of France. ( Beckett 117)

    In 1507 Leonardo da Vinci drew and wrote in one of his journals that the hardening of arteries in the human and animal bodies can be a cause of death. When people found his journal with his drawings if the hardening arteries this became a big thing in the medical world. This discovery of the hardening of the arteries was a great medical discover and thanks to Leonardo da Vinci he has saved alot of peoples lives (McLanathan 68).

Although his hand was paralyzed this did not make him stop doing what he loved doing,which was painting. The fact that Leonardo was left handed made things a little bit easier, but it was still a challange for the wonderful painter (Clayton 135)

Before he passed away he wrote a quote in his journal which was "As a well spent day brings happy sleep,so a life well used brings happy death"(McLanathan) that he said infers that Leonardo was very well prepared for his death. Leonardo da Vinci's death was a very significant event in history because he left so many people that admired him and were inspired by him behind. ( Leonardo da Vinci 125).
