Leonardos farther was Sir Pierrio da Vinci and his mother was a peasant. His parents were not married and this was, in these centuries this was very problamatic. Leonardo grew up at his fathers estate. He was raised by his Uncle and several stepmothers. His first stepmother loved and cared for him but died at a young age. His second stepmother did not accept Leonardo as a part of the family.

In this time Leonardo lived with his uncle and learned to love nature and he later invented many things, whats history origin was nature.

In 1467 he started his apprenticeship with Andrea del Verrocchio.

Leonardo started to see his interest in inventing.

At the age of 20 Leonardo was accepted as a master at the Guild of Saint Luke in 1472.

He completed his apprenticeship with Andrea del Verrocchio. It is said that Leonardo painted so well that Andrea del Verrocchio was so extremely impressed and immediately gave up on painting, although they still were close friends and kept working together.

Leonardo started his own studio.

Leonardo was in service of Duke of Milan from 1492-1499. Leonardo became one of the leading artists at his court. During his service there he proposed plans to improve the state of the citys hygiene. For example he organized the first garbage collection using boats.

He invented the arial screw 1493 from a maple seed.

In 1495 Leonardo invented the robotic knight by studing corpses and found out how the mucles and bones work together to make movement and found out how to turn it into a machine. He was the first human, recorded, that created a robot.

At this time he created one of his most famous paintings, The Last Supper.

Leonardo recived several requests to paint and sculp. He was more interested, however, in technical and scientific challenges.

Leonardo invented the parachute although it was not makable due to the limeted tools avaliable at the time.

Leonardo went to Rome to work for pope Leo X. During this period in Rome Michaelangelo and Raphael painted most known works.

Leonardo had studied flight for 20 years and invented the ornithopter - a fling machine that flapped its wings, he loved inventing from nature so this one was from how birds fly.

Leonardo died 1519 on the second of May. Many say that he died in Franciscos arms.
