While still living in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, contracted to the IntegraHealth Physicians Clinic, providing transcription services to eight different practices, including internal medicine, pediatrics, family practice, and urgent care. With the move towards digital, expanded to include hospitals in Laredo, TX; Salem, VA; Erie, PA; and Indpls, IN. -

Indpls hospital requested that I provide QA and training to new oncoming transcriptionists. Certified as an MT, passing a 6-hour proctored examination. Provided training to all new medical transcriptionists and provided quality assurance to random medical records per JCAHO documenting guidelines, to ensure medical record legality and integrity. -

Joined the "pre-go-live" team for the opening of Bellevue Medical Center, a brand-new hospital in Bellevue, Nebraska, that opened doors on May 17, 2010. Onboarded the HIM (Health Information Management) Document Imaging portion. Doubled as an Access representative, working in the Emergency Room. -
University of Nebraska Medical Center
Hired on as an MT-II for the Department of Surgery. Transitioned in August of 2011 to working as the administrator for the Trauma Team.
