    -A bomb was thrown at a peaceful protest by striking workers in Chicago when police attempted to disperse the sizable gathering. They were protesting against police brutality. 67 died and 8 were arrested.
  • Pullman Car Strike

    -workers' strikes shut down factories and worsened the state of the economy. the workers request for lower rent, higher wages, and better working conditions were not met. it led to widespread strikes and violence
  • Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire lockout

    -A fire broke out and more than 130 people died because the fire escapes were insufficient or locked. They could not escape and some jumped to their death. this was common tho around 100 workers died every day. This incident led to better and safer workplace conditions.
  • Ludlow Massacre strike and lockout

    Mine workers went on strike; the company locked them out of company-owned housing; riots resulted in a shootout and a tragic fire that took the lives of almost thirty people, including women and children. it was partially caused by the war happening and led to investigations.
  • Greece strikes

    Ferries were stopped, public transportation was disrupted, and some state-run hospitals in Athens and other locations were forced to operate on emergency staffing levels on Wednesday due to strikes called by the country's largest labor union. The push for the reinstatement of collective bargaining rights—which were removed during an awful financial crisis more than ten years ago—was the root of this.
