    The battle started with a North Korean Blitzkrieg down to the South Korean capital Seoul. They met little opposition due to South Korea not having any armor and not having a way to stop the tanks.

    The Fighting in the Korean War

    The Korean War was fought back in the early 1950's but is still continuing today due to a treaty never being signed.
  • Battle of Osan

    This battle was short being fought 540 U.S. troops vs 5,000 Chinese troops and 36 t34 tanks, The fight would start with 8 T34 moving southward when the U.S. troops would fire a howitzer at the tanks. This had no effect, this is when they started using HEAT(High Explosive Anti Tank) shells. This barrage would damage two and set one on fire. Then a large convoy of all of the infantry and the rest of the armor would come. The U.S. troops would fire all they had but ended up retreating.
  • Second Battle of Seoul

    The U.N. would push from a beach landing on Inchon to the South Korean capital Seoul. When they arrived at the city the North Korean army(NKPA) had only one understrength division, but the city was heavily fortified so losses were high but the U.N. eventually took the city. In the aftermath, the South Korean soldiers executed all citizens thought to be communist sympathizers.
  • Battle of Chosin Reservoir

    The U.S./U.N. had troops on the Chosin Reservoir and a Chinese offensive had surrounded them causing them to fall back down a very treacherous and vulnerable dirt road and had to build a bridge to finally fall back.
  • Third Battle of Seoul

    The Battle would start along the 38th Parallel. The Chinese would attack the South Korean Line(due to the South Korean troops being the weakest) They would keep up this assault until the Chinese reached the South Korean capital Seoul. General MacArthur knew he couldn't hold Seoul so he made plans for a possible retreat. In the end, the Chinese troops would eventually take the city but with heavy casualties.

    This operation was the prequel to The Fourth Battle of Seoul(Operation Ripper) and was Crucial in taking the capital Seoul.
  • The Fourth Battle of Seoul (Operation Ripper)

    The battle would start with the UN troops flanking along the Imjin River and attacking Seoul from the east. The Chinese occupiers in Seoul feared being surrounded so they would retreat back North. This Operation had two goals, eliminate the Chinese Army and take Seoul. The former was not achieved because the Chinese forces retreated.

    This battle would start with U.N. troops defending the route to Seoul. This battle would be a successful defense by the U.N. due to heavy artillery use and the defensive nature of the battle.
  • Firing of General MacArthur

    General MacArthur was in charge of the U.S. Army at the beginning of the Korean War He was successful until he and President Truman had differences in strategy due to General MacArthur wanting total victor while President Truman wanted a Limited War.
  • Battle of Imjin River

    A large Chinese offensive of 300,000 fought the British forces over a 40-mile front. The battle would end with the British falling back.
  • Battle of Bloody Ridge

    This battle had high casualties with the Americans having around 2,700 while every single Chinese soldier was a casualty in some way or another, half of those casualties were deaths.
  • Battle of Heartbreak Ridge

    This battle was for a heavily defended hill, and the battle lasted for a full month. The battle would ensue with artillery from the U.N. attacking the Chinese position, then assaults would happen at night. This position would flip flop between sides with heavy losses on each side until the U.N. deployed a Sherman division to destroy the hills supply depots. On the way, they encountered two Chinese infantry divisions which the Shermans destroyed after the loss of the depots the hill was taken.
  • Battle of Hill Eerie

    The conflict was a joint operation between U.S. jets and Phillipene ground troops. The ground force would assault up the hill where a Chinese bunker sat. They would take the position and the said point was crucial to the war effort due to the hill having a good vantage point out. This also was one of the first instances with jets dropping Napalm.
  • Battle of Old Baldy

    This conflict would start off with a U.N. assault with airstrikes, tanks, and artillery. The Chinese would be defending with mostly small arms but they would manage to keep this position even with it swapping hands a couple of times.
  • Battle of Outpost Vegas

    This Battle was for Outpost Vegas part of the Nevada Cities. Where U.S./U.N. troops hold an outpost from a massive artillery barrage. The Chinese won due to a mass numbers push.
  • Battle of The Hook

    This battle would take place on Hook ridge also an old capital of Korea known as Kaesong. Since it was on an old capital it had bargaining value for both sides so the U.N. was trying to defend it. and China wanted to take it. The battle was a mix of heavy artillery barrages and mass assault by the Chinese due to the fact the U.N troops were outnumbered 1:4. The battle would end with the Chinese troops exhausting all of their troops and U.N. troops leading a counter-attack and winning the battle.
  • Battle of Kumsong (The last Battle)

    This battle was due to a disagreement with prisoners and the chinses would push into South Korea although a Chinese victory they sustained heavy losses and didn't obtain much.
