In the early 1100's the first armour appeared. It was a chain mail suit that went down to the nedds and covered most of the arm. The helmet had a reflective nose strip and a cone-shaped top to protect the head. Their shields were wooden and kite-shaped.

In the late 1100s another armour was introduced. Its helmet was more rounded at the top and had a wider nose strip.Once again they used refective chain mail armour to protect them from swords as well as the sun.They had now introuduced chain mail gloves as well as legging that cover their feet. On top of the chain mail was a coat of arms to identify the knight. Their shields became more triangluar.

In the 1300s the bascinet helmet which covered even more for their faces.Instead of the suit being all chain they replaced some it with plates of iron for more protection. With the joint weight of the plates and the chain the suit became heavier for them to wear. Iron braces are now worn around the shins.

This suit now has no need for a shield. The armour is mor flexible than chain mail.The body is now fullly covered in hammered iron and now has iron shoes.All up the whole suit weighs 25 kiolgrams.
