The first armour that the knights wore to battle.
The armour they wore consisted of was a cone shaped helmet with a nose strip. They also wore a long chain mail suit with sleeves. It is made of thousands of metal rings. Their shield is kite shape and they wore padded wollen tunic. -

The armour from late 1100
The helmet is rounder with a wilder nose band. A loose-filling surcoat worn over chain mail armour to protect it from the sun's heat. They now have coat of arms identifies the knight. The huaberk now covers neck and is attached to the helmet by leather strips. The armour now includes chain mail mitten and it is getting shorter. The shield is starting to get shorter and is becoming more triangular. -

A basciet helmets is worn by late 1300s. The visors can be lifted up. Hammered iron plates are added for protection. The weight of this armour makes it impossible for knights to get up without help.The shields are smaller and more curved for protection. They now use iron gloves to protect the hands.
