Declaration of Independence
After he Preamble, the declaration has three main sections.
The First sections talks about Natural Rights.
All men are created equal.
Governments are created to protect peoples rights.
The 2nd sections creates a list of grievances against the King and England.
Many complaints accused the King of ignoring rights the British citizens had for a long time.
Also charged him with imposing taxes without the consent of the people.
The 3rd section declares the colonies "Free and independent states. -
Treaty of Paris
The King wanted to keep fighting but the Parliament wanted to surrender.
Ben Franklin and John Adams wre sent to negotiate treaty.
The rusults is that the Mississippi River to the Atlantic Ocean is apart of America.
