Megan's Law
Megan's law came into effect in New Jersey which requires sex offenders to get registered and report themselves to their neighbors. “In New Jersey, the impact of megan’s law can be seen by the growing number of sex offenders registered across the state.” -
Federal Megan's Law
Megan's law became a federal law requiring law enforcement authorities to make information available to the public regarding registered sex offenders nationwide. -
Change Of Registration
Registration increases from 1997 (3,352) to 2000 (6,638) of those registering as sex offenders in the state of New Jersey due to the laws being placed. -
