In 1932 FDR started his presidential Term, and used to the power of the government to make America live better. For nine years Franklin D. Roosevelt ran the "New Deal" which was a way to provide moeny, and job opporotunities to people and families in need of relief during the Great Depression. It didn't necesarilly end the Depression but it did help lessen it.
