    The report revealed many pitfalls and issues in the public education. Severe underperformance of American schools led to the demands of tougher standards and more accountability. I think the event was important because it kind of awakened the nation and urged reforms in education.

    All American schools were reported to have the Internet access, so technology started making its steady way into classrooms. I see it as a huge step forward allowing educators and learners access to an entire new world of information and possibilities.
