This was the day that Germany suerrendered. This was when Hitler's successor signed off that he was surrendering. -
Little Boy Bombing of Hiroshima
This was the first nuclear bomb that was used as a weapon. It blew up 1,900 feet in the air. -
Fat Man/ Manhatten Project/ Nagasaki
Fat Man was the name of the second nuclear weapon used in WWII. This one was actually detonated in Nagasaki. The damage was somewhat less extensive than that of Hiroshima.
