  • Germany invades poland

    1.5 million troops from Germany invade Poland at 4:45 am. They invaded Poland all along its 1,750-mile border. At the same time the German Luftwaffe bombed Polish airfields. The polish naval forces were attacked by German warships and U-boats in the Baltic Sea. The Poland attack was supposably a defensive action according to Adolf Hitler but France and Britain were not persuaded.

    Evacuation of dundrik (operation dynamo)

    The troops from France, Britain and Canada were trapped between the English Channel, near Dunkirk and advancing German forces, During late May and early June of 1940. The Dunkirk evacuation is commonly known as the Miracle of Dunkirk, code-named Operation Dynamo by the British. Overall it was the evacuation of Allied soldiers from the beaches and harbours of Dunkirk.

The soviets surprised them with this invasion, its was so strong that 850 japanese soldiers were involved and 650 of them were killed or wounded within the first two days of fighting.

The united states immediately accepted Japan's surrender. The states drops a bomb on Hiroshima and nagasak, and the soviet union declared war with japan. With that, japan formally surrenders which officially ended WWII. This is a significant point in history because the most horrible war had officially ended.
