Tyndall began studies of Radiative properties of various gases. His experiments demonstrated that water molecules are the best absorber of heat and energy. The Tyndall effect is one of John Tyndall's most popular discoveries. The effect is the scattering of light as it passes through a colloid. Suspension particles reflect the light and make the beam of light visible to our eyes.
