Tyndall began studies of Radiative properties of various gases. His experiments demonstrated that water molecules are the best absorber of heat and energy. Tyndall Effect
The Tyndall effect is one of John Tyndall's most popular discoveries. The effect is the scattering of light as it passes through a colloid. Suspension particles reflect the light and make the beam of light visible to our eyes.

Belfast Address
Tyndall addressed a "controversial" subject. He urged the world to study from a naturalistic view rather than a theological view. Many state this started the Science vs. Religion "war." -
