The Birth of John Polkinghorne
John Polkinghorne was born in Weston-super-Mare on October 16, 1930, to his mother Dorothy Charlton. John had a sister, Ann, who passed away when she was only 6 years old. Polkinghorne also had a brother, Peter, who passed away in 1942 while flying for the Royal Air Force during World War 2. -
From Professor to Reverend
John Polkinghorne resigned as a Professor at the University of Cambridge in 1979. Soon after, he began to study theological views, becoming a reverend in 1982. So after, his overwhelming writings and lectures have applied scientific habits to religion, in specific Christianity, resulting in a modern and complex exploration of the faith. His approach to the foundations of Christianity brought him to his international fame as a unique voice for understanding the Bible. -

The Passing of John Polkinghorne
Polkinghorne died on 9 March 2021 at the age of 90. He was an amazing mathematician and a speaker of the Lord. Some people appreciated Professor Polkinghorne's work for its distinguishing difference between scientism and non-scientism.
