    Charles Darwin embarked on a 5 year scientific expedition, at the age of 22. He was a naturalist, and went around the world during this voyage collecting different plants, fossils, and animal species to observe and study them. He explored many continents and saw different species he had never seen before. This voyage, especially to the Galápagos, is what helped his theory of evolution.

    Charles Darwin publishes his book The voyage of the beagle in 1839. This book discussed all of Darwin's observations and findings during his voyage.
