  • Emotional and Social Develoopment

    During this life stage Joe had the first type of socialisation due to him being around family and close family friends, he gained secondary type socialisation when he started nursery at the age of 2 and a half being around nursery staff and other children. During this stage Joe played parallel to other peers at nursery due to not knowing how to share properly.
  • Physical and intellectual Development 0-3 years

    During this life stage Joe could not lift up his head due to his neck not being strong enough to hold his head weight.
    He had motor skills so he grasped on to objects such as fingers and toys such as rattles, he also had rooting reflex were he showed stimulation when his cheeks or lip was touched.
    He started develop teeth from the age of 9 months.
    He developed gross motor skills making the large muscles in his body stronger enabling him to walk and sit up straight independently.

  • Physical Development 4-9years

    Physical development during this life stage the muscles and bones in the body are stronger so Joe can run, jump, hop and skip this is also linked to co-ordination so at the age of 7 Joe had the ability to tie his own shoe lace and do balance on beams during Physical Education at school, he also can throw and kick a ball using hand and eye co-ordination.
  • Emotional and Social development 4-9years old

    During this life stage Joe started to attend school and make friends and be used to being more round new people such as teachers and peers this is secondary socialisation, starts to choice friends with similar interests and can also have a conversation and take turns.
  • Intellectual development 4-9 years

    during this stage of Joes life he started to understand the difference of reality and pretend.
    his brain developed from him to use over 1000's words and can has the grammar and speak nearly like an teenager. Can solve problems such and as maths and count backwards in his head due to the development of his brain.
  • Physical development 10-18 years old

    At this life stage Joe is going puberty so his body is going through changes the stages of going from a boy to a man, during this Joes Voice broke, started to grow hair in genital areas and facial areas, his hips become more narrow, he starts to develop sperm so during this stage his body is ready to have children. His body changes as his shoulders widen.
  • Intellectual Development 10-18

    During this life stage Joe has developed the intellect of remembering vital things and doing solving problems. During this stage they start to think independently, Joe attends Secondary school and is learning to achieve academic certificates at this stage he will different subjects to make his brain development in many areas such as Science and history, he will undergo tests to see what he has learnt from the subjects. Joe has finished college and is starting to look for jobs.
  • Emotional and social Development 10-18

    During this life stage Joe has become part of peer pressure he starts to hang around with groups that match his standards and is influenced to smoke and take drugs, he starts to disobey parents and starts to listen to friends more than his parents.
  • Physical Development 19-65

    During this life stage Joe had started to develop grey hair in his late 40s due to less melanin which gave his hair colour, He started to lose his eyesight in his late 60s due to cataracts gradually causing him to become blind. He started to develop wrinkles under his eyes due to the substance collagen in the skin wearing out making the skin have less elasticity.
  • Intellectual Development 19-65

    During this life stage Joe continued to study at college until the age of 21 due to him wanting develop skills in different subjects, he started to work in a office at this stage Joe had done more vocational work then academic work, he started to do little maths and read to exercise his brain to keep it flexible due to his memory declining because he is coming close to old age.

    Joe started to think about developing close relationship with someone which means having more responsibilities which can cause him to be stressful due to pressure, he also may start grieving on the lose of close friends and family members, he can take news in the right way even if it is negative due to his emotional development being matured in this life stage.

    During this life stage Joe decided to start up a family with his partner of marriage Janet he has 4 children with her, he works in Next as a store manager until he retired at the age of 64, he started to develop more public relationships mainly being work colleagues, he started to go on holidays with close friends and family when he had free time from work.
  • Intellectual development 65+

    Joe has started to find it difficult to remember recent things but will reminisce on past things such as him being a young boy, he finds it more difficult to solve problems such as maths.

    Joes final stages showed he was scared to die and wanted all of his family members around him to ressure them that everything will be all right even when he passes. he will start to see others emotions from the people who love him that will make him worry about dying such as his 4 year old grandaughter
    becomes less mobile and will stop doing certain activities due to his muscles and joints not being strong enough.
  • Emotional and Social Development

    Joe has retired and wants to have his family around him because at this life stage he can die any time, he started to look at retirements homes as his family were busy at work and he only got to see them on the weekends so he decided to go into a resident home for more company. He has started to lose his confidence because he knows that he will be at a stage of dying soon.
  • Final Stages

    His body has started to detereate making his body weaker so he finds it difficult to manage simple tasks on his own such as going to the toilet and walking around his local park.
