Pearl Harbor
Japanese fighter planes attacked the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor. The attack lasted two hours and resulted in more than 2,000 American deaths. I was trying to decide whether or not to head for breakfast when I felt the ground shake and heard booming sounds all around me. At first, I assumed the navy was running drills, but when I stepped outside and saw several of my friends bloody on the ground, I knew it was real. -
