Garibaldi sails to Sicily with 1,000 men and joins the rebels in Southern Italy to gain control of the two Sicilies. Once the Sicilies are conquered, he gives control of the territories to Sardinia.

Bismarck brings on war with Denmark over control of Schleswig and Holstein. Austria joins Prussia's fight and together, after defeated Denark easily, they own the two provinces.

Italy allies with Prussia in the 7 weeks war against Austria. Italians were defeated in Venetia, but Prussia quickly defeats the Russians and give Venetia to Italy.

Bismarck provokes war with Austria purposely over their ownership of Shleswig and Holstein. Prussia crushes Asustria's army with ease and speed. Shleswig and Holstein go to Prussia and Venetia is given to the Italians

Bismarck setablishes the North German Confederation and has the reamining northern german states join. The only states that were yet to join were four southern states that were bound to Prussia by a military alliance.

Bismarck provokes war with France in hopes that it will unite the remaining four southern German states with the north German Confederation. After Napoleon III declares war, his forces are quickly destroyed by Prussia, and the Treaty of Francfurt is drawn up, which said that France was to be occupied by German milirary, France had to pay a huge war indemnity, and the provinces of Alsace and Lorraine were given to Prussia.

France takes troops out of Rome that were protevting the Pope because of the Franco-Prussian war. Rome is quickly seized and added to the Italian kingdom as well as being proclaimed the capital.

During the Franco-Prussian War, the four south German states join Germany and Bismarck crowns William I as the first kaizer of the German empire at the Palace of Versailles.
