Brigids Day.
On february first, yes it is the beginning of the month, but it is also the beginning of spring for the irish. They make Brigid's crosses and celebrates. The crosses resembles little crafts called god eyes. The story behind the crosses are Many rituals are associated with the making of the crosses. St Patricks Day.
They celebrate this religious holiday, which also is the national holiday of Ireland, with parades and festivals. On St Stephens day, they make wrens out of assorted materials. Being right after christmas oddly it has nothing to do with Christianity. There is a poem about it, which is too long to put on.
