On the morning of September 11th, terrorists hijacked four jet planes and tried to fly them into several U.S. targets. One of the planes crashed into Tower One of the World Trade Center at 8:50 AM. Then another plane crashed into thower Two at 9:04 AM. The terrorist attack had brought the death of approximately 3,000 men, woman, and children from mations around the world. -
Invasion of Iraq
George W. Bush launches the invasion of Iraq. Every effort would be made to spare the lives of innocent civilans. "My fellow citizens, ath this hour American and coalition forces are in the early stageos of military operations to disarm Iraq, to free its people and to defend the world from grave danger." says Bush. -
Found the WMD
The army found where the WMD (Wepons of Mass Destruction). The WMDs were found in the Tikrit and Baghdad area. This was important to the war because the U.S.A. army then found out that Iraq had illegal wepons in its territiory. What is a WMD? A WMD is toxic or posinous chemicals, a diesease organism, radition or radioactivity. -
Saddam Statue Removed
The Saddam Husain Statue was removed because the Iraqi people were sick and tired of being ruled by him. A group of men climbed the statue and attached a rope around the statue's neack. They tried to pull it down, but it didn't work. The Marines came and backed an "armrmed recover vehical" up to the momument and attached a chain to the statue. The statue fell down and the Iraqi people cheered. Then they started throughing rocks and started hitting it with sticks. -
Iraqis die in Suicide bomb attack
The suicide bombers blows up a toyota pickup truck. Inside the truck was 1000 punds of explosives. The toyota was outside the headquarters of the U.S.-lead coalition. -
American Contractor beheaded
A video was released showing an American Contractor being beheaded by Iraqi Militants. Iths was on an Islamic Militant website showing the beheading of an American Contractor that was looking for work in Iraq. This was a bloody scene that shows the first violent responce to the U.S. -
140 people killed
On January 6th, 2006 140 people were killed in Iraq. This was one of the bloodiest days since the U.S. lead the invasion of the country in 2003. it wa a seperate attack and there were roadside bombs. Americans were killed in the suicide bombing. -
Complete victory
On the eve of the third aniversery of the Iraq invasion, Bush promised to "finisht the mission with complete victory". Tempting the American public to remain steadfast but offering no indication when victory might of benn achieved. -
Pullout of British Troops
The chief of the British Army has called for a pullout of British troops of Iraq. He says "sometime soon" The chief also said that post-invasion planning for that war was "poor, probably based more on optimism than sound planning." -
Saddam Hussain dead
The death of Saddam Hussein happened on December 30, 2006. Saddam was sentenced to death by hanging. He was guilty for crimes aainst humanity by the Iraqi Secial Tribunal for the murder of 148 Iraqi Shiite people in 1982.
