Boukreev eventually finds Sandy Pittman, Beck Weathers, Charlotte Fox, and Yasuko Namba. He presumes Namba is dead and Beck Weathers is blown off the mountain, so he only takes Sandy Pittman and Charlotte Fox down the summit -
Krakauer looks for the missing Andy Harris
At 6:00 AM that morning Krakauer goes out to look for Andy Harris, who, contrary to his report, did not return to camp safely. Krakauer finds footprints and realizes that Andy Harris had accidentally walked into an abyss. -
