On May 12th 1990 Chris had graduated from Emory University. He did not only graduate, but he sent his parents a letter telling them that he was going to spend the summer traveling.

After a month or so Chris mails his final transcript from college and a letter telling his parents that he will not be turning to them ever again.

Throughout the month of July Chris had made it to Nevada. After the arrival his car had gotten damaged by a flood but he didnt give up on what he was trying to accomplish, so he pursued his journey on foot.

Throughout the month of August McCandless parents had went to go find him, but all they found was his vacated appartment. They were not the only one finding out bad news. McCandless had received a ticket for hitchhiking.

In October McaCandless's car is found by a park ranger but McCandless doesnt need it because he just got to colorado and bought a canoe.

McCandless travels from Mexico to Colorado and realize that the way he is going will not get him to the California's Gulf. In the meantime he sets up camp but weather gets dangerous, so he finds himself a cave to stay in for some days.

Throughout the month of January McCandless started back in his canoe until he getts caught in a storm and almost dies. after that he tries to head back to the U.S. from mexico but he got caught and had to spend a night in jail.

In the month of February McCandless traveled from Houston to Los Angeles. After all of that he digs up old stuff he buried by his car and burries his bag, and then he continues his journey on to Las Vegas.

McCandless leaves las Vegas and heads back out on the road.

July through August continues to travel and sends a postcard to a friend.

Through the months of October 1991 all the way to Fubruary 1992 McCandless works in Arizona and sends postcards and maps to his friend. Then he begans to hitchhike again and lives on the streets, as he said in his postcard.

In the month of March France helps McCandless by picking him up and letting him stay at his place for a night. Fran ce also drives him to Colorado and McCandless takes it on from there and works for Wayne. After theat he leaves and heads for Alaska.

McCandless gets to Alaska and reads up n the plants that are edible and sets up a tent. He also sees Mt. Mickenly in the time being

Through the month of May in the year of 1992 McCandless finds an old bus and lives in it. He hunts, he eats, and his teeth are all nasty with decay.

Mosquitos and maggots are all in the meat that McCandless had hunted.

McCandless sets out for the 20 mile hike in the month of July but the lakes had becme froxen so McCandless had to return back to the bus. He expresses in his journal that he is very weak at the time.

In the start of August death becomes a threat to McCandless. He post a sign on the bus door and writes his last journal.

McCandless dies.

In the month of september some Hikers found McCandless's body.
