    On 6th September 1620, a group of 102 pilgrims sailed from England to the ''new world'' on the ship ''The Mayflower''. They wanted political and religious freedom, that's why they sailed. There were storms, but they decided to keep going to the ''new world''.

    Early November 1620, pilgrims saw land in the distance. They were excited because they finally reached the ''new world''. They saw a good place and they established a village called ''Plymouth''. 45 of them died the first month due to winter and hunger.

    From 1754 to 1763, the British army and the colonists fought the French at the 13 colonies, so Great Britain asked colonists for more money, so they raised taxes. Colonists thought this was ridiculous because they didn't even have representation in the British government and they refused to pay taxes.

Colonists, led by George Washington, fought with spanish and french help until 1783. That year the United States of America were declared in the Treaty of Paris.
