    The Leader of Inca Pachacuti Inca Yupanqui took over other countries and areas to expand Inca. He recreated the government of Inca and built the Macchu Picchu.

    Pachacuti's son, Tupac Inca Yupanqui becomes the ruler of Inca and spreads Inca Empire.

    1476 Expanding Empire

    Tupac continues to expand the Inca Empire and takes over the Chuma Empire. The Chuma land is now a part of Inca.

    Huayna Capac, Inca becomes the greatest Empire.

    Tupac's Son, Huayna Capac becomes the leader of Inca. The Inca Empire has reached the greatest it could be under the rule of Huayna Capac.

    Plague

    Huayna Capac and his son (who was most likely to become the next Emperor of Inca) died from smallpox (a disease) brought by the Spanish explorers. Many Incas died from the smallpox. Huanya Capac's other sons Atahualpa and Huascar fight over the rule of Inca. This started a war inside Inca that lasted five years.

    End of civil war and the Arrival of the Spanish

    Atahualpa wins the rule of Inca over his brother Huascar. During this time the Spanish and their leader Francisco Pizarro arrived in Inca. Pizarro captures Atahualpa so he can be paid by the people of Inca.

    The Spanish kill Atahualpa and receive lots of gold and silver. Manco Inca becomes the ruler of Inca.

    Francisco Pizarro the Spanish explorer founds the city of Lima which becomes the capital of Peru.

    Vilcabamba

    Manco Inca (the brother of Atahualpa and Huascar) moved to Vilcabamba with the remaining people of Inca and created a government. The government is different from the Spanish explorers.

    Pizarro vs Almagro

    In 1537 Almagro (who was an enemy of Francisco Pizarro) took over Cuzco and killed Pizarro's half brother Juan Pizarro. Francisco Pizarro did not want Almagro to have the city, Cuzco so he sent his brothers to win back Cuzco. Pizarro's brothers killed Almagro and won the city. However, Almagro supports got their revenge and charged into the palace of Francisco Pizarro in Lima and killed him on June 26, 1541.
