    Elementary & Secondary Edu. Act
    This particular federal law contain three major importance. The first importance was designed for low income families to have quality education. Second importance, lunch in the school system was provided and other provisions were available for them as well. Finally, the third importance was for all children's including special needs children (1965-Title VI - Aid to Handicapped Children) to have federal public support and benefits within the school systems.
  • Mill v. Board of Education

    Mill v. Board of Education
    This is a special case where children with disabilities was excluded from public placement education programs. It is the same as the P.A.R.C case. The court ruled that all children should received free education. In addition to that, all appropriate educational programs are available to all students, including students with disabilities.

    Amy Rowley was a deaf fifth grader who used a FM hearing aid which enhances words that was spoken by the teacher. She was very intelligent in communication skills. Even though she was not in the same level of the other students, the court ruled that she should receive the a fair grade or the same educational resources as a nondisabled students. This legal case went to the supreme court and led to the IDEA Act in 1990.
