    Something happens inside the body when the allergen is eaten. The body forms an IgE antibody, which attaches itself to cells found in the tissues in cells and all over the body. An antibody is a protein that detects harmful substances.

    The body is now primed. The allergen then enters the body again

    The allergen binds to the IgE antibodiesand sends out signals for the body to release large amounts of histamine, which are compounds that trigger immune response.
