Hurrican Katrina is now a cat 2, and could become a cat 3 within the next few hours. Next target is Lousiana. Set to hit New Orleans, city beneath sea level. Levees used to protect it's shore. 500,000+ people to be affected. -

President Bush is on holidays in Texas when he is notifed of Hurricane Katrina. Declares pre-hurricane state of emegency. 7:00 PM weather maps show Katrina approaching and expanding rapidly. -

10,000's of litres of water and military ration meals are issued to those in the super dome. -

Hurricane Katrina is "World of weathers, weapon of mass destruction" Levees are predicted to topple. Water will go over the top. -
250 Miles out in the Gulf, Katrina becomes cat 5 7AM
Katrina turns to a cat 4, and then shortly after a cat 5, the most powerful catergory of hurricane. 8:00 AM Super dome begins to allow people inside as Katrina is rapidly approaching. Texas 9:25 AM Bush discusses an evacuation plan, Katrina is only 20 hours away. A 6PM curfew is enforced.
It is predicted by important officals that; Devesating damage is expected. Half of houses will collapse. Anyone exposed to the winds will face imminent death. Flying debris. Windows will be blown out. -
Katrina Arrives in New Orelans 4:00 AM
Kartina arrives in New Orelans as a cat 3/4. Brings with her a storm surge, of around 14-17 ft. Parts of Louisiana lose power, and currently ther eare 10,000+ in the super dome. 7:45 AM Storm surge levves collapse, flood water 12ft above sea level, city is going underwater. Submerges parts of the city in 10ft of water. -

Katrina knocks our majority of military and police comms, resulting in lack of organisation, and miss communications. Levees collapse at London Avenue, and 17st Sreet. Average home drowns in 9ft of water. The road network is down. -

Louisiania is not capable of dealing with such a major disaster. Flood water covers 80% of New Orelans. Depleted police force attempts to help. During the hurricane, 249 police officers deserted there posts. National guard and FEMA rescuse people from roof tops and homes. Choas in streets matched with choas in goverment. Super dome to be evacuated, it is a island.
