Shay's Rebellion was a rebellion with poor Massachusetts farmers. The farmers fought because of high taxes. They could not pay their debts. They were put in prison for not paying their debt. Over 1,000 farmers were put in jail. They formed groups and Daniel Shay was the leader of the rebellion. They attacked the federal Springfield Armory. The government sent a private army to vanquish the attack.

The Great Connecticut Compromise was an agreement that the large and small states reached. Roger Sherman and Oliver Ellsworth created this compromise. They made an agreement that defines the legislative structure and representation that each state would have under the United States constitution.
