  • When the firsrt opium war start

    The opium war started on January 1st, 1839 to December 31st, 1839. It is 172 years ago from 2011.
  • Convention of Chuenpee

    Preliminary cession of Hong Kong Island to the United Kingdom. It is the first attemps to bring the First Opium war between the Qing Dynasty and the United Kingdom to an end.
  • Treaty of Nanjing

    The cession of Hong Kong Island, founded as a crown colony of the United Kingdom. In Traditional Chinese, the treaty of Nanjing is written like this 南京條約and in simplified chinese it is written like this 南京条约.
  • Opuim war 2

    The sencond opium war, was a war against the British Empire and the Second French Empire against the Qing Dynasty of China, lasting from 1856–1860.
  • Convention of Beijing

    It is the Cession of Kowloon. On South of Boundary Street.
  • Ocean Park

    Ocean Park in 1997, 10th of January. It has 35 attractions and rides. It is also the world's seventh most popular theme park.

    There are two race courses in Hong Kong. One of them is in Sha Tin and the other one is in Happy Valley.

    The Bank of china is 369 metres tall. This building has 70 floors.
  • The handover

    The handover happened on July 1st, 1997. Britan handed back Hong Kong to China.
  • Kai Tak Aiport Closed down

    Kai Tak Airport opend in 1954 and it closed down on 6 July, 1998.
  • Hong Kong International Airport Opened

    Hong Kong International Airport was opened the following day after the closer of the Kai Tak Airport. This Airport is 9 times bigger than Kai Tak.

    SARS stand for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome.
  • International Finace Centre (IFC)

    The ICC started building on 1997 and it completed on 2003. It has 88 floors and it is 415 metres.
  • Hong Kong Disneyland

    Hong Kong Disneyland opened on 12th September, 2005. It is also the smallest Disneyland in the world. But, it's tll reallly fun!
  • International Commerce Centre (ICC)

    The ICC is the tallest building in Hong Kong and it is the 4th tallest building in the world. It has 108 floors and it is 484 metres tall. The ICC is on top of Kowloon Station.
