    Bee Gees were a pop band formed in 1958, the band consisted of three brothers, barry, robin and maurice gibb. The trio were most popular when they moved from the UK to australia and realeased one of their most well known songs 'spicks and specks'. Bee Gees shaped the criteria for alot of pop music that we still listen to today.

    The Beatle where an extreamly popular english rock band, they're still seen as one of the most successful musicians of the 20th century. The group was formed by paul mcCartney and john lennon in 1960 and almost instantly the group became internationally famous. the band sent the continuous message of peace and love to many generations other than their own, giving audiences a sense of hope.

    The longest performing rock band of all time, the Rolling Stones have greatly influenced rock and roll throughout the decades. Beginning as part of the British Rock Invasion of the 1960s, the Rolling Stones quickly became the “bad-boy” band with an image of sex, drugs, and wild behavior.

    pink floyd where formed in london england in 196. they were popular for their uniqe rock sound. their music and lyrics is a wake-up call for the whole society, to act, think, improve and develop individually, and try to fix society being made by people. They sent this strong message through albums such as; 'The Wall', 'Dark Side of the Moon', 'Wish You Were Here'

    Black Sabbath are an English Heavy Metal band from Birmingham. The original band line up of Ozzy Osbourne (vocals), Tony Iommi (guitar), Terence “Geezer” Butler (bass), and Bill Ward.Black Sabbath remain a dominant influence in the heavy metal genre they helped create.

    Queen originated in london, england by brian may and freddie mercury in 1971. The band was signed to their first record label in 1975, they also released their first single in the same year. the band hit international stardom in 1977 when they relesed their album 'news of thr world' which included some of their most famous songs. Queen shared world wide awarness of poverty and world hunger to their audience by playing at multiple charity events and donating to different charities.

    u2 is an irish rock band, the band formed when Larry Mullen pinned a 'musicians wanted' ad to the notice board at Dublin's Temple Mount School. the band has influenced the 20th century by doing multiple charity related events. the bands front man (Bono) is especially well known for doing his fair share in giving back to the world, he is head of many big charities, such as; UNICEF and ONE. both charities help with beating poverty in third world countries

    Metallica is a heavy metal/rock band that was formed in 1981 when vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield responded to an advert posted by drummer Lars Ulrich in a local newspaper. they then went off to produce award winning music and started collaborating with huge stars of that time. to this day metallica is still seen as one of the founding fathers of rock/metal and has influenced alot of the rock and metal scene of todays generation.

    Nirvana was a popular 80's grunge/rock band, which started out in aberdeen, washington in 1987. The band was fromed by lead singer Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novosellic. Nirvana has shaped music with their unique sound, they also gave a voice to teens and shone a new light on the generation.
