The invasion of poland in 1939 is what started WW2, Germany had invaded Poland soon after the hasd signed the Nazi-Soviet Non-Agression Pact.Britain and France had promsed to protect Poland from German attack, soon they declared war on Germany. -

Dunkirk, also known as Operation Dynamo, was an evacuation for the British allied troops after the soldiers were trapped between the French border and the English Channel, there had been many casualties so Churchil sent for every british vessel to rescue the men, this was meant to have been one of the most celebrated event is British history but overall the defeat from the Germans was a colossal disater. -
North Africa Campaign
The Germans had occupied nearly all of Europ and a lot of North America.Stalin and many other Allied leaders wanted to attact the english channel but Churchil disagreed. When Germany attempted to gain access to a canal that could starve Britain of oil and cut them off from india, armies fought in North Africa and eventually kicked out Germany. -

The Battle of the Atlantic was a fight which started when Germans launched over 1000 U-Boats over the Atlantic ocean to cut off all suplies to Britain forcing them to drop out of war, luckily the Americans had defended the canals and won. -
The Battle Of Britain
When the Nazi's tried to attack Britain from the air the RAF had held them of. The Germans had targeted many of the shi[ping docks such as Portsmouth becuase that is where Britain got all the supplies from. The British did win the battle and that was the farthest Germans got to British land. -
Pearl Harbour
The Japanese were angry with the Americans becuase the U.S had started a oil embargo on Japan so they had decided that if they cause a big enough blow to America, they would be left alone, The Japanese sent a carrier force to Pearl Harbour and caught America completely by surprise, All 8 of the battleships were either sunk or badly damaged. -
D Day
Dday is when the Allies invaded Normandy and France commanded.It is also known as "Operation Overload". They landed at the five beached code named Utah, Sword, Omaha, Juno, and Gold. This event marked the end of the beginning for Germany. -
Atomic Bomb
The dropping of the Atomic bomb was done when the war was nearly over and Japan was the last enemy that needed to be defeated, Americans dropped a bomb in Nagaski but the Japanese refused to meet the needs of the Americans so 3 days later a larger bomb was dropped in Hiroshoma which did end the war, many believe dropping the bomb was to harsh because the war was nearly over but other believe that if americans had to invade many more deaths may have been suffered
