  • The Dawes Plan

    $800 million given to Germany by USA (loan)
    French agreed to remove troops from the Ruhr
    Reparations linked to Germany's economic performance, and Germany given longer to pay
  • The Lorcano Pact

    Britain, France, Italy, and Belgium agreed to respect current existing borders
    Began period of improved relations
  • Germany joins League of Nations

    Germany was initially forbidden from joining in 1920 (when it was set up) - but in 1926 Germany was given a permanent seat on the Security Council

  • Kellogg-Briand Pact

    Germany signed this pact with 64 other nations - all agreed to solve international disputes by "peaceful means"
    Armies only kept for self defence

    Gave them 59 years to pay this
