  • John Dalton

    John Dalton
John Dalton was born in England on the 6th September 1766, Cumberland and died on the 27th July 1844. He discovered that the point is that matter is not broken down into anything smaller, he discovered that atoms are tiny particles. John proved that the atoms cant be subdivided, created or destroyed.
  • Dmitri Mendeleev

    Dmitri Mendeleev
Dmitri Mendeleev was born on the 8th February 1834 and died on the 2nd of February 1907 at the age of 72. He was the one who created the first version of the periodic table, with all of the elements. He used it to predict the properties of elements that are still to be discovered. There were 56 unknown elements and a new element being discovered. They had one per year and still had to discover more.
  • Antoine Henri Becquerel

    Antoine Henri Becquerel
Antoine Henri Becquerel was born on the 15th Decemeber 1852 and died on the 25th of August 1908. He discovered radioactivity and received the Nobel Prize in 1903 in Physics.
  • Joseph John Thomson

    Joseph John Thomson
Joesph was born December 18th 1856 and died on the 30th of August 1940. Joseph John Thomson discovered the electron and the invention of the mass spectrometer. He proved that deflecting positive rays in electric and magnetic fields could break isotopes. For all his great work and teachings him and his associates got a Nobel Price.
  • Max Planck

    Max Planck
Max Planck was born on April the 23rd 1858, he died in October 4th 1947. Max discovered an equation that told us the results of the tests. The equation that he made was E=Nhf, with E=energy, N=integer, h=constant, f=frequency. He also made up constant (h), which was renamed to the people as “Planck’s constant”.
  • Max Plank

    Max Plank
Its telling us that every scientist is getting closer and closer to find out what we now know about them. They were still trying to figure it out in 1900 and before. Planck got recognized for his accomplishment and was awarded with the Nobel Prize in Physics for 1918.
  • Ernest Rutherford

    Ernest Rutherford
Ernest Rutherford was born August 30th 1871 and died October 19th 1937. He discovered alpha and beta rays and the famous gold foil experiment. Proved the central positive charge i.e. nucleus inside an atom.
  • Niels Bohr

    Niels Bohr
Niels was born October 7th 1885 and died on 18th November 1962. He discovered the wave-lengths in UV spectrum of hydrogen.
  • James Chadwick

    James Chadwick
James Chadwick was born on 20th October 1891 and he died on the July 24th 1974. He lived in Cheshire, England. He discovered neurons and how they work and how they get attached to things. Chadwick started the radiation experiments and used helium nuclei, which is electrically charged. The electrical forces make the atoms heavier. Neutrons are stabilized by the protons in the atoms nucleus. The nucleus is pack tight with the positively charged protons.
