    New force touch technology called 3D Touch which allowed the phone to distinguish between a tap, a light press, and a hard press and made the phone easier to use. As well as 12-megapixel iSight camera that can shoot in 4K video.

    Apple eliminated the headphone jack and changed the home button to a haptic-based virtual button. Also the addition of a matte black color option.

    That same year Apple came out with the iPhone X. This includes redesigned glass, wireless charger, and dual cameras. Touch ID has been replaced with Face ID.

Camera has an additional feature called "cinematic mode" for video and photography. Longer lasting battery life ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 hours longer.
