Twice as fast as the previous model and was being sold for less. -

Introduced the Facetime video chat feature as well as high revolution retina display. The design also slightly changed having a more square appearance. -
iPhone 5s/c
This model is much slimmer and faster and also includes options with more available GB. Apple also expanded their color range to white, black and gold. -
iPhone 6s/6 Plus
New force touch technology called 3D Touch which allowed the phone to distinguish between a tap, a light press, and a hard press and made the phone easier to use. As well as 12-megapixel iSight camera that can shoot in 4K video. -
iPhone 7/7 Plus
Apple eliminated the headphone jack and changed the home button to a haptic-based virtual button. Also the addition of a matte black color option. -
iPhone 8/8 Plus
New glass and aluminum enclosure in which Apple claims is the most durable glass ever in a smartphone. True tone technology adjusts the white balance on the screen according to your surroundings. Improved camera and deeper pixels when taking videos. -
iPhoneX
That same year Apple came out with the iPhone X. This includes redesigned glass, wireless charger, and dual cameras. Touch ID has been replaced with Face ID. -
iPhoneXS / Xs Max
The Xs Max has the largest display to date with more than 3 million pixels and the biggest battery. These models are also the first to include Apple's A12 Bionic Chip with second-generation Neural Engine. -
iPhone 11/11 Pro/11 Max
This model comes in four colors and features a new three-camera system. It features audio zoom which means when you zoom in on a video it also zooms in on the audio. It also includes night mood for better quality images in low light. -
iPhone 12/ 12 Mini
The new Super Retina XDR displays are built with "Ceramic Shields" for four times better resistance to breaking if dropped. Both models offer a dual 12MP camera with Ultra Wide and Wide cameras. -
iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max
The most current version of the Apple smartphone. Identical to the previous version but slightly thicker and heavier. Storage options much larger ranging from 128GB to 1TB. Camera has an additional feature called "cinematic mode" for video and photography. Longer lasting battery life ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 hours longer.
