    The American Asylum for the Education and Instruction of the Deaf and Dumb now know as First School of Special Education was founded in Hartford Connecticut. This school provided an education in basic subject such as Math, Reading, History, Writing and etc. to those who had an hearing impairment.

    Brown v Board of Education
    Brown v Board of Education was a U.S Supreme court case which the Supreme Court Justices ruled that based on a child's race and being segregated due to their race in public schools was ruled unconstitutional. By passing this case this was a big milestone and the end of legalized racial segregation.

    Elementary and secondary Education Act (ESEA) was passed by President (at the time) Lyndon B Johnson. This act goal and purpose was to provided support to low-income families, mobility problems, those who lived in poverty and more with an education needed. ESEA helps with improves a student academic performance and provided the material that is needed for the students.

    Americans with Disabilities Acts help those who have a disability be able to be employed without any discrimination. This act was passed by presidents George H.W Bush his goal was to help those gain a job without fear of being discriminated due to their disabilities.

    The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) previously known as the Education of handicapped, and further passed new amendments now know as IDEA. This law provides and helps those receive general services to their education. IDEA includes what is called an IEP which help those who are with a disability accommodate them with special accommodation and ensure equal access to education to the students.

    Cedar Rapids vs Garret F is a U.S Supreme court case which ruled 7-2 that those individual who were included with Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) would receive supporting services needed in order for that one individual to attend school. This case was formed due to Garret F who was involved in a motor vehicle accident and was in need of a nurse in order to check up on his health throughout the day but the school board refused to provide one.
