    About 110 years ago, British colonial government named Sham Shui Po as "New Kwoloon". Because of a large river separate most of the villages in Sham Shui Po, like Apliu Street and Un Chau Estate, they can only carried on little development.

  • Modern buildings started to appear in Nam Cheong Street.

  • Lai Chi Kok Road was developed and there were reclamation works for development of Aplius Street and Yu Chau Street

  • Early formation of Sham Shui Po

  • The large river in Sham Shui Po was modified into Nam Cheong Street

  • Boundary Street was developed

  • Sham Shui Po started to become an industrial area
