The Pioneers
Before the 1830's there was only horse drawn carts on tracks. In 1793 Benjamin Outram thought of this idea. In 1804 Richard Trevithick designed and built the first unamed steam locomotive to run on smooth rails. -

There has been a rail road around Britain and now the train has become a very popular type of transport. -
Post Privatisation
From 1995 and onwards. Since privatisation numbers of passengers hav grown rapidly. All of this started from horse drawn carts on tracks.
