  • Loom Machine Powered by Punch Card

    In 1804 Frances Joseph-Marie Jacquard sucessfully made an automanted loom machine. He used punch cards to program it. (It was not made on September 26th, the time line would not let me remove the day and month so I stuck with the default.)
  • Crude Telegraph

    In 1809 Samuel Soemmering makes the very first telegraph type device. It was a crude version, however, it still was a telegraph type device. (Not made on September 26th, had to have month and day included in timeline. Did not have month and day in source.)
  • Punch Card Census Machine

    In 1890 Herman Hollerith made a method in which machines could store information onto a punch card to be used for the US census. He later formed the company we know as IBM. (It was not done on September 26th, the only date I could find was that it was made in 1890)
  • First Automated Factory to Mass Produce Transisitors

    In 1960 IBM made the first automated mass-production facility for transistors. (Not made on September 26th, had to have month and day included in timeline.)
  • AT&T Introduces the Dataphone and the MODEM

    AT&T introduces the first dataphone and MODEM. (Not made on September 26th, had to have month and day included in timeline.)
  • First Commercial Integrated Circuts

    Fairchild Semiconductor introduced the very first commercially sold IC (Integrated Circut). (Not made on September 26th, had to have month and day included in timeline.)
  • IBM First 64-bit Computer

    In 1961 IBM made the Stretch supercomputer. It was one of the first 64-bit computer of it's time. (Not made on September 26th, had to have month and day included in timeline.)
  • "Spacewar" is made!

    In Feburary of 1962 Steve Russell makes Spacewar. It was the first game intended for PC's. (Made in February, however it was not made on the 28th. I have to have month and day included in timeline.)
  • First Lazer Printer!

    In 1971 the first ever lazer printer is developed at Xerox PARC. (Not made on September 26th, had to have month and day included in timeline.)
  • Unix is first released!

    On November 3, 1971 the first edition of the Unix language was introduced.
  • Apple logo changes!

    In 1976 the original Apple logo (Sir Isaac Newtown sitting under and apple tree) is replaced with the well known rainbow apple with a bite out of it. (Not made on September 26th, had to have month and day included in timeline.)
  • Duke Nukem 3D released!

    On January 29th, 1996 Duke Nukem 3D was released!
  • Intel releases 200 MHz P6

    In 1996 Intel released the first 200 MHz processor. It was called the P6. (Not made on September 26th, had to have month and day included in timeline.)
  • The first VR (Virtual Reality) set is released!

    In August of 2012 Oculus Rift released a development kit for their virtual reality headset. (The 26th is not the day it came out however it did get released in August of 2012. Also this year they came out with a second improved dev kit!!!)
