Pitchfork Media The company began publishing daily and changed the name to "Pitchfork" wihch is a reference to the film "Scarface".

The company was very well established at this point with many aspects of media on the site. They had interviews, features, columns and multiple daily album reviews as well as a section for music news.

Skyline Chicago hires Pitchfork Media and produces the "Intonation Festival" at Union Park. The festival featured bands such as "The Decemberists" and "Broken Social Scene".

Pitchfork Festival This was the first festival completely run by Pitchfork Media. It was a two day event with 41 bands and 35,000 attendees. Spoon, Diplo, Aesop Rock, Band of Horses and The National are just a few of the acts that performed at their first official festival.

Yoko Ono and Thurston Moore performing "Mulberries"This year the festival was a 3 day event. On the first night all of the performers played every song on one of their classic albums and Yoko Ono performed a special song that she had only performed twice before in her life with John Lennon and once with Sean Lennon, her son. The festival sold out with 48,000 attendees.

This year, all Friday artists played set lists composed of songs that were voted for by ticket holders. The event was called "Write the Night: Set Lists by Request".

This is also the first year that the festival featured a stand up comedy stage.

Three day passes sold out in less than one day. This year the festival featured Animal Collective, Toro y Moi, Das Racist, TV on the Radio and James Blake among others.
