History of Film

  • First Movie Theater

    One of the first movie theaters were invented and made in 1895. Only a few people were allowed to view at one time. Very few would waste their money to see.
  • Multi-Shots

    Mulyi-Shots were first starting to be used. Many actors and producers knew what to do with their motion pictures. The multi-shot helps the camera gather certain shots from different spots.
  • The Start

    This year is when motion pictures become extremel popular. the movies they played actually worked. People looked like they were walking in the pictures. This made all who watched become amazed at the technology they were seeing.
  • 1st Narrative Film

    The first U.S Narrative flim was filmed and produced. Many complained that the French actually made the first one. The U.S was later granted with the first true film produced.
  • MPPC

    Thomas Edison founded the MPPC. The Motion Pictures Patent Company made lots of money in their times. They were the main producers of the films people wanted to see.
  • Film is Popular

    Film becomes majorly popular. It is now one of the biggest things on the market. Many people will pay large amounts of money to see them.
  • Nickelodeon Theaters

    Nickelodeon was becoming very popular. They were attracting 26 million viewrs each week. Their legacy has been brought tolife throughout the years.
  • Nicelodeon Expanded

    Earlier in the years Nickelodeon had been one of the greatest selling theaters in the world. 5 years later, there profit and the amount of people coming to see their movies had doubled. The owners made ridiculous amounts of money.
  • MPPC is Terminated

    Thomas Edison and his company were terminated during this year. They were always making sure that no one else was producing videos, so they were the only ones making money during that period. This was quickly shut down as they were terminated this year.
  • Problems

    During this year, many theaters and producers had problems with the technology. Their technology started to overheat and stopped working. This was quickly fixed and before the end of the year movies were back up and running.
  • 1940s

    During this time America was at war. Having televisiona nd motion pictures kept americans at bay with how their fathers, and brothers were doing in the war. Many also helped build things during this time which futhur greaten the motion picture device.
  • 1980s

    By this time familys could watch televison on their VCRs. Very cheap back then, many familys owned a VCR. This helped keep familys in contact with their surroundings either outside the country, or across the country.
