[ The Magic Lanterns ]

A magic lantern is simple image projection device that uses a single light cource such as a candle. One of the most famous magic lantern presentation, known, as the Phantasmagoria, and was premiered in Paris in 1798.

Puppet shows are one of the earliest refrences of film recorded. Puppetry is also considered an art form and has been around for about 30,00 years. Puppets can be wired controlled, clay models of people and animals have been discovered in tombs and hieroglyphics translation.

[ The Invention of Film ]

Two men named Geroge Eastman and William H. Walker develpoed the very first first reel of film. Film was sensitized paper created with a gelatin emulsion.

It was a machine that coud capture a sequence of images which was similar to a camera only it automatically took a picture of the moving image every half second and they also had a motor and a shutter mechanism.

Was a time for the movie industry to really blossom and expand. It was the beginning of the studio and the birth of the "star". The majority of film making actually took place in the Hollywood area, in fact during the id 1920's, around 800 movies were being created each year.
