    Eadweard Muybridge made a bet with his friends that a horse could have all 4 legs off the ground. Muybridge bet $25,000 to show he was right. He and his friends lined up cameras that would go off, so they could see the horse at every second. After they saw the footage, they had motion, thus motion pictures were created.

    company born in 1888 that produced cameras. The camera was a box shape and a fixed lense. the camera was mostly used for films. After photos were taken, had to be sent to Kodak to be developed.

    invented by the Lumiere Brothers in 1895. Thomas Edison made an invention but only allowed 1 person to see a film at a time. So the brothers created the projected and made motion pictures for multiple people to see. It was cinematographe.
